This year Halloween didn't go as I had originally planned. Weeks before, flyers had been handed out for the Halloween Black Light Party. Everyone knew about it and was planning to attend. It was supposed to be this huge dance party in a warehouse...and my friends and I were all planning on going. The Sunday before Halloween, my Bishop got up in Sacrament meeting and addressed the congregation about the party that was coming up. He advised us not to go to the party, and didn't think that it would be a very uplifting place to go. To make a long story short, some friends and I decided to pray about it. After praying and recieveing guidence and inspiration, we decided to not go to the party. Instead, we bought tons of food, stuffed our faces, and watched scary movies. It made me feel good to know that I followed the spirit, and my church leaders. We all had a great time, and heard that the party wasn't even that great. I am happy about the decision that we all made to not go to the party...because we had a great time doing what we did!
